Today’s Valdosta Daily Times article (July 3, 2010) read “Slow wheels of justice, and where the 2009 murders stand in the courts.”
I commend the Times for the informative article and up date on violent crimes, and deaths that occurred in 2009. It was very timely, informative and greatly appreciated. However after three decades of omissions of the thirty or more jail deaths that has occurred in the Lowndes County Jail since 1994-July 2010 for whatever reasons. It is now time to give equal time and consideration to these unreported deaths.

The Atlanta Journal and Constitution has reported on these deaths along with other news media and television outlets. However there seems to be a continuous practice and pattern to keep citizens deaf, dumb, and blind to what goes on in our beloved community.
And our faith based community should be outraged by this continued lost of human life with no end in sight. As former president of the local NAACP I have listened to parents, children and love ones express their desires not to have others go through the pain and suffering they endured.
Moreover I listened as they shared their sympathy for the victims of crime and while I agree with the Times that the “wheels of justice turns slow.” But that is no reason for the “wheel of reporting to stop” at the cost of keeping citizens ignorant to the lost of life in our community. God bless America.

Which of the FORTY-THREE White Male Presidents have Black African Americans made fun of as is (NOW) being done of Senator Barack Obama. Even before he was voted into office by a majority of American Citizens? It seems to be as it was in the 50s and 60s wherein many Americans were found on the wrong side of history and are nothing more than tiny foot notes on the bottom pages of history. God bless all members of the Human Family---always!
